Amy Yakima grew up dancing at Noretta Dunworth School Of Dance in Dearborn, Michigan. During training, she was casted in Detroit’s Radio City Christmas Spectacular and at the New York City’s Radio City Music Hall.
Most notably know for winning Season 10 of Fox’s hit TV show “So You Think You Can Dance”, Amy also toured with Travis Wall’s Shaping Sound Dance Company and performed in Lindsey Stirling’s Shatter Me National/International Tour. She was also a dancer in notable music videos, Carrie Underwood’s “Something in the Water” and Ingrid Michaelson’s “Celebrate”.
She trained for one year on scholarship at Marymount Manhattan College and was on faculty at Velocity Dance Convention, West Coast Dance Convention, Radix Dance Convention and Jump Dance Convention.
Amy was a featured dancer in Emmy nominated Amazon Prime’s Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and John Oliver’s Late Night Tonight and performed live for NBC’s 2020 New Years Eve with Julianne Hough.
She made her Broadway debut as Peter Pan in Finding Neverland and was the Witch’s Mother on the National Tour of Wicked.
